Florian Hager: 25 million views in six weeks

The two public broadcasters are said to be investing around €45 million in the project every year. 2016 “funk” went live with the announcement: “We are a network with content for 14 to 29-year-olds.” With its formats streamed on YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram, “funk” was viewed 25 million times in the first six weeks, with 1.27 million subscriptions on YouTube and Facebook. Hackathon @SPOBIS Gaming & Media

Imagine there was software that could generate a summary of all the highlights and goals in a live stream in real time entirely automatically. Or an app that allowed a user to commentate on a live stream and make this available to all other users live. This would create genuine added value for customers – and, at the same time, new marketing platforms. So why don’t we do it then? Get involved in the Hackathon @SPOBIS Gaming & Media! During this side event, 40 programmers and designers will be set five different live streaming tasks to develop innovative new software solutions for the sports media industry.

New “Live Sale” format: ESL meets Telekom

E-sports and advertisers come from two very different worlds and yet they must now attempt to find common ground. To aid in this process, we have organised a very special event format: two of the most experienced representatives from both industries will conduct a “critical sale discussion” live on stage. Andreas Nassauer will act as the company representative interested in learning more about sponsorship and media services in e-sports. As Head of Group Media at Deutsche Telekom, he has managed one of the largest media budgets in Europe for almost 13 years. Ralf Reichert will assume the role of the sales person. The CEO of Electronic Sports League (ESL) is a seasoned expert in the e-sport scene. Having helped to build up and shape the course of the e-sport industry from the beginning, he affords extremely in-depth knowledge.
